It was a major creative art process there, over 2,000 years ago. (See room 64 at the British Museum.)
In 1988 after completing City & Guilds in cooking and doing various jobs worked around family life, I became interested in the ancient art of wax painting.
Without any art training I taught myself how to paint using coloured beeswax, applied with a small travel iron to create my colourful pictures.
It is a fascinating art, and every card and picture is individually painted and unique.
My ideas come from my memory of places, as well as my colourful imagination, when painting fantasy and futuristic pictures. I am always thinking of new design ideas.
I am always willing to attend W.I groups, Schools etc. to talk and demonstrate this fascinating artform.
