As you can see - I love colour!
HANDSPINNING is my favourite craft. I like to blend and spin coloured merino wool fibres. I produce small quantities of original yarns to handknit into unique hats, berets and toques.

GLASS PAINTING allows me to play with pattern as well as colour. I am inspired by flowers, ancient tiles and textiles from around the world. My work includes light catchers, window panels and candle holders.

PERGAMANO (parchment craft) is a more recent development in my work. I enjoy the delicacy and detail of this traditional work. My greeting cards are not printed - each one is drawn, embossed and perforated using my own designs. The subjects include flowers, illuminated letters, birds and abstract patterns.

I was born in London, then lived in Spain and England, before moving to Brecon. I have enjoyed living here ever since. I worked as a cartographer, then as a primary school teacher.

I have been a member of the Brecknock Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers since 1980. I have attended many courses and workshops, as a student, and more recently as a teacher. I also enjoy experimenting with new crafts, some with more success than others. (My attempts at pottery were disastrous!).
